The Name, "Ares" is what most know him as. He gives the name Enyalios to those close to his heart and the name, "Arieos" To those he fights with.

Ares is extremely callous. He's filled with an unfathomable amount of rage. He is also known for being brunt and downright rude. Be mindful of this please. He does not give a fuck about your character's feelings and I don't give a fuck about yours. This, however, eventually dissipates (outside of the shots he throws for entertainment) the closer someone gets to knowing the TRUE god of war. He is feral, but like all feral beings. They get used to your presence the more you are around them.

I play Ares as my own truth to his character AND story. So, some of the events that mythology says he went through, his relationships and his powers will be warped. Such as; Him conceding to Athena during their battle in fear of killing her. How deep his love for Aphrodite truly was. Their relationship. And the major battles that the Olympians underwent during their reign. I've also added some events.

An ode to Gabbie, the gem. A heavy blanket cast itself over the primal god. Its fabrics woven from stars, fashioned from the cosmos. It was she who guided the lost wolf in that suffocating veil of stygian. Beauty that made all others pale in comparison. Artemis lost her luster in this woman’s presence, Aphrodite’s allure nothing more than a grotesque whisper. An creature who had come down from an empty heaven. At first, he reacted as a beast should. He tore her wings and bound her divinity in chains that her god couldn’t even break. Mortalised. He had meant to kill her there, but he could not. The red threads of fate, even then, had coiled them to one another. Months passed—years. She was there when he found solace. There when Olympus’ brightest light erupted in the horror filled sky. Then, one day. She vanished. Ares was in the underworld, beating back a devil lord who had assumed control and was attempting to overthrow the Keres he put in charge. He came back to an empty bed. Time reunites them, but what does that mean for the wolf and his gem?

During his time in Olympus. Other pantheons and beings referred to him as THE WOLF OF OLYMPUS. This is the most accurate title he has outside of being a god of war. Everything from his personality to his mannerisms, scream 'feral wolf'. Another reason why he has absolutely no concern for your character's personal space.

He has many enslaved entities bound to his soul. That, as a result of him being trapped in Tartarus, went through torture with him. Thus, increasing their bond exponentially. These entities include; Makhai, Hysminai, The Arae, female demons of curses. Empusa, Keres, Spartae and most remaining Lamia. He also has a special relationship with Maenads (succubi). To elaborate, Ares holds hellions very close to his heart. Vampires, succubus, demons of all varieties. As a child he befriended an injured demoness who had managed to escape from Hades. She taught him all about the different circles of hell and Hades. From then on, he vowed to be the god that the forsaken could pray to. He understands that they didn’t choose their life—and refuses to let them be prosecuted for trying to survive and live a life that’s about more than survival. However, this extends only to pure bred hellions (hellions is the term he uses for those with hell/hades affinities). Not those who voluntarily became that way without probable cause.

The Great Cataclysm brought an end to many gods, demi-gods and heroes of the past. However, Ares did preserve the souls of Enyo, Eris, his two sons Deimos and Phobos, and Alala in Elysia right before he was cast out. This was thanks to Hades' help. In exchange, he owes Hades a favor. No matter how big or small. He hopes the god of death is alive so that he may pay him back.

The Sevat coven broke the 8 seals of Tartarus in an attempt to have the sentient infinitum consume all of the god realms. However, with Ares reaching the peak of his power due to his constant evolution through endless battles within the hellish prison, she took him as her host at the very last minute to avoid imploding from all of her energy being released at once. The god of war was chosen to become its host, swallowing everything within its endless void. He gained immaculate power and now struggles to prevent the ancient consciousness from completely taking over his body. He finds out later that Tartarus had always wanted him as a vessel and his seemingly endless torture within her embrace was her way of grooming his body and celestial essence for her occupation.

Tartarus usually takes the form of a middle schooler of Japanese descent. She has long, flowing black hair. Dark, ominous eyes and sickly pale skin. It is advised that when approaching her that you take the utmost caution. Her presence silences the supernatural; magic doesn’t work, healing stops, and even divine beings find themselves slowly being drawn into her unfathomable appetite. Ares refers to her as ‘Kata’ and dots on her like a loving father. Tartarus does speak all languages, but her native tongue is something even Ares is still learning. So far, the only entities she is comfortable around is Aphrodite and Hestia.

The ‘home-setting’ of this character is apocalyptic. Earth is overrun by eldritch horrors and wicked evils. The antagonists are a coven of witches. Humanity is on the brink of extinction and has survived and isolated themselves within bathyspheres (literal domes, think bioshock and its underwater city) scattered across the earth which are governed by the last militaristic force known as VEHEMENTE. Most of the pantheons have been reduced to ruin, god is absent (or dead). So, if I write a starter or you want to write one. Keep that in mind. ＸＩ.

Certain characters get a soft side from Ares (Besides Kata, Aphrodite, and Hestia). Prostitutes, escorts, murderers, and yanderes. Aspects of slavery and chaos. Insanity. These things all appeal to his sovereign. So, he’s been known to purchase slaves. To save prostitutes. To coddle murderers and dot on yanderes as if they are his children or cute little kittens.

This just means that all of Ares’ stories take place in the same universe—different times, same place. While he can travel to different realms. That doesn’t really take away from the continuity at all. I don’t expect everyone to follow this rule, however. But just in case he does kill you or you are bound to him in some way. It’ll be a permanent part of his storyline. This one universe includes but is not limited to: Single shipping, deaths and the lack thereof, and lore continuity.
