Family Deal With a Demon

The Datari goes back many generations to Nala's great-grandfather and his deal with a demon. In the middle of the 18th century, her great-grandfather was ill and could not care for his two sons and wife. He stood at a cliff praying to God to save and protect his children so they could grow as old as he was. If he could do that, he would be grateful, and his sons and they would make sure they serve God for eternity. Yet nothing, so his family would die soon without him feeding them; he was giving up hope. Hope for God and the faith he grew to believe that if you pray, God would hear and answer you. That never happened; no, what happened changed his life and that of his future grandchildren.
As he gave up hope and tried to walk with his Cain back to his small home, the ground began to shake, forcing him to his knees. He watched in horror as the ground opened and a pale yet beautiful woman crawled out from the open ground. This woman is covered in tar, but those beautiful eyes draw him in as she stands and comes to help her out. Seeing she had no closing, he removed his jacket and covered the woman. “Are you alright, m’lady?” He leans down more, only to have a hand and fingers take hold of his throat. She was influential for a slim beauty, holding him off the ground in her raspy voice. It was demonic, yet it pulled his old soul to her somehow. He struggled to break free and try to speak but couldn’t with how tight her hold was. But something happens; she drops him and falls back to her knees and hands, not used to walking as a human. He had his chance to leave her to survive on her own, but it was never in him to leave someone helpless, even if he knew now what she was. “You’re a demon, a real demon. Did you come here on your own, or did you get cast out?” he listens and nods as he listens to her story about being an angel and love. About how she ended up falling, somehow it anger him that God would treat an angel who fights for him like this. But what could he do? Then he came up with an idea: if God could not save his family, maybe a demon could.
“I know you want to eat me, and you can; you can have my soul,” he steps back as the woman tries to reach him. ” But wait, hear my idea, my thoughts. We could help one another; if you do not like my idea, then kill me and my family. But please do it quickly; we have suffered enough in the hands of our lord and savior.” this seems to make the beauty turn her head like a bird and listen as he slowly sat on a rock resting his old body; he spoke out his thoughts and pain. “My wife and I have two sons. We live over that hill in a homemade pile of rocks and mud. The crops have died, so we cannot feed the cow we had to put down due to my illness. My boys are too young to work, and without me working. My family is starting to starve. You won’t have much meat to pick off my bones.” Seeing that did work, he tried to lighten the mood; he continued with his story until the sun started to come.” So, as I stated, M’Lady, If you save my family, protect my bloodline until none lives. I Promise I and my bloodline will forever serve you to protect who and what you are. On my family flesh and blood, I beg you, demon, save the only family I have. Because I give hope on God answering me, you’re my only hope.”

2015…Nala Datari, age 20, sits at a desk dressed in the finest clothing a woman could wear as an assistant to a demonic Family. Her job was not easy, but she took pride in what she did and how she did it. Her life was never dull as the phone rang off the hook. She kicked it up and held it away from her ear as a man yelled on the other side. “Yes, detective, how can I help you…….again?”. she yawns as he yells about the missing officer last seen at the Family asylum. “Detective, I cannot answer you with your yelling, as I have stated and shown you on the video with the four witnesses and the family lawyer. The officer left the Asylum no harm was done; you’ve seen the video now, talk to the lawyer or face me and see what happens. No, that is not a threat; it’s a promise your harassment is quite old and childish for a man. What….40 now, good day.” As she hung up, she called the Asylum, waiting until someone picked up she grins.” Hello, have you cleaned up the body; good, pack it up and bring it over, Our Lady Darsea like freshly killed humans; Now call me when you’re on your way here.” She hangs up and then pushes a button on an intercom,” Dave, please set the best golden plates we have. She’ll have Detective Johnson over for dinner tonight, and He should be coming from the Asylum in an hour.
Nala always ensured the family ate the best and saw how the detective was snooping in places he shouldn’t have. Nala handled the threat to the family with an axe to the annoying man’s head. She hated blood and didn’t like what she needed to do, but you have to think it this way better than her, and after years of doing it, She has grown not to feel bad anymore or cry alone in her room anymore. The family has always been good to her and her family, from money to homes and even schooling. Her bloodline took care of it like the family lawyer is her uncle, and soon, the chief of police will be replaced by her cousin. “Accidents happen more than a mortal knows or cares to know.”
