"Bitch!"
Vandala
staggered as the death bringer cracked her across her jaw. As if cutting the
heap of demon foot soldiers laying on the heap on the ground to her right, was
not enough. Ducking in the path of a followed blow she punched upward to hit
the huge enemy Kier in the gut. Groaning in discomfort she then too doubled
backwards. Looking around Vandala spotted her dagger which she had dropped and
then ran for it. Grabbing it just in time she gripped the handle then hit the
ground face first as the Kier caught and tugged her ankle in a jerk toward her.
"Where do ya think ya're going?!"
Holding on to the dagger she felt the Kier lift her up into the air in a swirl
as she slammed Vandala up against the wall. Sending her shield clattering to
the ground. The stench laced breath of the Kier resembling the smell of a dead
decaying animal assaulting her nostrils.
"A feisty one huh Princess?!"
Vandala's breaths were laboured from fighting, yet she could go on for hours to
come. Centuries worth of experience in combat training and a decorated mentor
served her well. Looking up into the blood shot eyes, all she could really make
out in the dark as she spat.
"Screw you!"
The Kier laughed out loud into a cackle then slammed her back against the wall
again with so much force that the wall cracked. Gripping the dagger she
positioned it just beneath the heart of the Kier. The female death bringer's
voice caressed her ear as she spoke in a lean.
"How about I send you through hell by teaching you a lesson in manners and
obedience sweetheart?"
Then she licked over Vandala's cheek. The Valkyrie angel wrinkled her nose in
disgust then she shouted.
"YOU FIRST!"
With which she jammed the dagger into the heart of the Kier with all the
strength she had. The Kier dropped instantly as her own body too dropped to the
ground like a sack of potatoes. Looking down at the Kier as Vandala stood up
she muttered.
"Who's the bitch now?"
Not bothering to check if the enemy was dead. Her only thought to get out of
there and find the soul she had been searching for. Tucking the dagger into her
armoured belt hugging her petite waist she stepped forward to retrieve her
shield. Strapping it back into place instantly. A sudden mortal shriek tore
through the air. Ducking slightly she followed the sound. Stopping in the
shadows she listened. Peering around the corner she saw two mortals, a man and
a woman struggling. A truck passed by behind her. Which after minutes had
disappeared once again leaving the area quiet and unoccupied. She had no
permittance to interfere. Sakkara had made to crystal clear that she was NOT to
intervene in any situation that took place in the mortal realm. Except for
finding the soul that slipped through the gate.
She
looked around. Watching the man and woman in the dark. Still trying to
contemplate why in all that was holy she chose THIS fucking place to find the
soldiers' soul. Turning on her heel she ran to the adjacent corner while her
wings elevated and spread to their full width, ready to take flight. When she dropped her wings beside her
slightly as she glanced back at the Kier on the ground... Who was now missing.
"FUCK!"
Walking
off she looked back to see that she was not being followed. She needed to get
to the soul before that Kier returned to kick her ass around the globe one more
time. Her quota was almost filled now. She was still walking when a huge hand
gripped around her neck. Lifting her clean off her feet. Her eyes rolling in
irritation as she realized she was now dealing with a reaper who was pissed at
her for sending him to hell in a fight that took place decades ago. The Kier disappeared
and a reaper took his place. Fabulous! Grabbing his wrists she looked into the
fiery hollow pools that replaced his eyes in his head. Parting her lips she
swiftly added with a sassy challenge laced smile.
"Leviathan...
Let's dance you and I....."
